Med-Eq (formerly AIRe-mail) was created in 1998 by our parent organization REMEDY. It continues to grow as a service that connects donors of medical equipment and supplies with registered non-profits receving charities. Recently AIRe-mail has been streamlined from an e-mail list-serve based system to a web based interface, Med-Eq.org.
Both donors and recipients register to use this web site and agree to terms of use. Donors are then free to post items to the website and recipients are able to request posted items.
Receving organizations submit a request when they have a need for an available item. After being selected by Med-Eq they are connected directly with the donor of the item. Med-Eq makes the connection possible and maintains the site to ensure clear posts, quality donation, and comitted recipients.
